Goodbye Midd

It's been a fantastic year, Midd! Thanks for sticking by MiddBlog thru thick and thin!

MiddBlog was started on October 18th, 2006. We first made news by covering Chief Justice John Roberts visit to Middlebury College and the following comments on our blog by President Liebowitz and Dean of the College Tim Spears. We were there when the SGA Blog went live. We covered the beginnings of MiddShift as well as reopening of the Gamut Room and every last Bannerweb fiasco. That's not to mention WRMC's announcement of a concert featuring Andrew Bird. We outlined the best J-Term classes too. Of course, giving Ronnie Liebs some credit, we also covered the 100 Projects for Peace and the Campus Master Plan meetings. Nothing would complete without a full lineup of Middlebury YouTube videos. The most popular posts of the year were the Quidditch posts which garnered links from Qudditch.com and Mugglenetinteractive.com! Some MiddBlog stories were picked up in The Campus, school newspaper, like our coverage of the new Battell mural. We also beat the school Bookstore on to Facebook by a good semester. We narrated the huge Valentine's Day blizzard and the arrival of Febs '10.5! That's not to mention the acceptances of the class of 2011. Oh yea, and Men's Rugby won nationals.

Overall, it's been a good first year for MiddBlog and I look forward to all the fun next year!
