Marie Horbar ('09) presents on her travels to the Dominican Republic and her work at a sustainable coffee farm on the slopes of Pico Duarte (the largest mountain in the Carribean). She's the first student to present a Cafecito Hour this year!

One of the few hidden treasures of Midd is the organic garden located out in the field behind Ross. Go to their meeting to get involved for the spring. Volunteer opportunities are open all year and a few paid positions available during the summer

Middlebury College Quidditch World Cup

There perhaps is no greater event of the year than this second annual Middlebury College Qudditch World Cup. This not only brings Midd to the forefront of the Harry Potter fan-dom, but it is just the greatest thing to watch and play... Rainey, the snitch, practices for hours for this very event and it will be a sight to behold. New hoops, new banners, and megaphones will make this round all the better. This is such an important event that a Wall Street Journal reporter will make his was to the MIDDle of nowhere to document it!

Students are encouraged to form teams of seven with capes and uniforms. Brooms will be provided (they better have a lot of brooms...).

Persian and Turkish Improv
If anyone saw the folks from Kyrgystan perform last year, it was mind-blowing. Persian and turkish, though very different cultures, should do the same this time. The "ethnic" series of concerts at the CFA are few and far between but always worth it.
