We're # 2!

The Grist (grist.org) rated Middlebury College number two on a list of fifteen "greenest colleges and universities." Yes, that's number two. Not one. We got beat out by College of the Atlantic which has only one major: "the study of our relationship with the environment." Now, that's hardcore.

Oh, snap! This week's Newsweek has a blurb on green colleges and it mentions Middlebury . . . in passing. Dartmouth gets major props for its bio-bus (umm, hello, we have one, too!) and discusses Williams at length. Ouch.

Newsweek also has a large section on the Hottest Colleges. Middlebury is not one of them.

we're also mentioned as the college in the middle of nowhere in that father-daughter college visit editorial. i was amused.

They change the Hottest Colleges every year--I remember that Middlebury was a "hottest college" last year.

But Midd remains in top 5 of the hated US News and World Report rankings...tied with Carleton.

Who really cares?? Should we?

on the books...
