Cue Awkward Turtle Hand Motions

We've all gotten the e-mail:

"Students, Professors, & Sexual Relations -- Is this a Mix that Should Exist?

Come hear the latest research on faculty-student sexual relationships next Monday, September 24th at 4:15 in BiHall 216.

Ann J. Lane, Professor of History and the Founder of the Program for the Study of Women and Gender at the University of Virginia, will share her work on " 'Consensual' Relations in the Academy: Gender, Power, and Sexuality."

This lecture is sponsored by Faculty Council, the Departments of History, Religious Studies, and Psychology, the Program in Women's & Gender Studies, The Charles P. Scott Center for Spiritual and Religious Life, the Student Government Association, the Office for Institutional Diversity, and the Office of the Provost."

Students & staff is a lot more ambiguous, as there are many recent grads who stick around in jobs at the College. The power relations between students & staff are less pronounced as with faculty, unless the staff oversees a student worker.
