An Apple a Day Keeps the Parton Health Center at Bay
Autumn is upon us. Between the sunny weather and the raging ragweed, you sure could have fooled me. The only reminder of the season was the mass slaughter of perfectly crunchy leaves on the library lawn last Thursday. Many a tear was shed.
The only consolation is this year's bumper crop of apples. Some orchards suffered the wrath of a June hailstorm (it was a doozy), but others will come out on top thanks to the onslaught of rain two weeks ago.
So, all you DIYers out there-- let's face it, when you live in a dorm there's not much DIY you can do-- head out to the orchards and pick a bushel or two. Bake pies, make apple sauce, and stay healthy.
