MLK Day

Now that you've had your 24 fun (and the Patriots won their playoff game), it's time to remember that Martin Luther King day is tomorrow (Mon 1/15). You'll find that your family back home has the day off but alas, we are bulldozing our way through with a full day of classes broken up by a rememberance assembly featuring main speaker Shirley Ramirez, the new Dean of Institutional Diversity. After the assembly, there'll be a reception in McCullough. At night is "Let Freedom Sing," a Francois Clemmens event with celebrating the Negro spiritual. Definitely stop by to one of these events and take time to reflect on the importance of a national figure on a national holiday.
