Midd Adds New Stalking Tool

So you thought Facebook was good for stalking? Middlebury College website has added a new stalking tool of its own: Class Photo Rosters. Tired of your classmates not listing their classes on their Facebook profile? Midd website has complete lists with pictures and info for everyone in your class, future classes, and past classes. It's supposedly a feature designed for faculty to view who's in their classes but now it is accessable to the entire student population...

How do I get in on this stalking action? Log-in to the Middlebury College website (go to the very bottom of the middlebury.edu homepage and click log-in). Then click "Directory" at the top of any Middlebury College webpage. You'll now see five options under the heading "Directory." Click "Class Photo Rosters" and follow the instructions... Happy stalking!

UPDATE: So, as it turns out, the Class Photo Rosters were faculty only and we're not supposed to be for student use. ITS has removed the feature from student accounts.

UPDATE 2: So you're probably concerned about your privacy with issues like this. Welcome to the club. You can, however, control how much info is out there on the Middlebury web. Update your Middlebury profile. Here's the how-to help.

I think they just locked students out and made it faculty only...

no, you just have to log in again on the directory page - logging in on the homepage doesn't do the trick.
